Volunteer Information

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in supporting the 110th U.S. Amateur Championship. The U.S. Amateur is the oldest national championship conducted by the USGA and is among the most prestigious Championships in the world. For this Championship to be the success we envision, we will rely on the volunteer support of our community, and we hope you take pride in being an integral part of hosting such a prestigious and historic Championship.

The basic volunteer package price is $100.00 (a $250 value). This charge will cover the cost of two (2) 2010 U.S. Amateur logo embroidered volunteer shirts, a cap, volunteer credential, breakfast or lunch on the days you volunteer, daily admission to the Championship and parking throughout the week. Additional shirts may be purchased at the cost of $25.00 each (maximum 2).

Volunteers will be expected to be available for an average of three to four shifts during the Championship. The actual number of shifts you will be asked to work will be based on your committee assignment. Volunteers will be assigned to their committee of preference, as long as those positions remain available.  (Volunteer descriptions may be viewed here.) - Volunteer Positions for Marshals, Standard Bearers and Scoring are now filled to capacity.  Please DO NOT choose these categories as a committee choice.

Upon completion of your on-line application you will receive confirmation that we have received your application. You will also receive a confirmation code. Please keep this code in a safe place, as you will need it in the future.

Volunteer assignments will be made as the positions reach their capacity. At that time you will receive your volunteer assignment, volunteer training schedule and will have the opportunity to purchase your volunteer package on-line. You will need your confirmation code to purchase your package.

Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express will be accepted. Declined credit card payments will void your registration. Personal checks will not be accepted. Your volunteer registration fees will be processed upon receipt. All submitted volunteer fees are nontransferable and nonrefundable.

Volunteer packages will be available for you to pick up at the volunteer training session.
