Camera Policy
Cameras are permitted on Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22 (Practice Rounds) ONLY.

Concessions
There will be concessions located behind #18 Green serving a variety of items. No food and beverage can be brought into the Championship.

Handicap Access
Pride Mobility Scooters will be provided free of charge on a first come, first serve basis at the Main Admission Gate.

Children / Youth Tickets
Children aged 17 and under are admitted free to the championship when accompanied by a ticketed adult each day of the championship. One adult may escort up to nine (9) children. It is not necessary to notify the championship office in advance.

Merchandise
The on-site merchandise tent will offer a variety of merchandise bearing the 2010 U.S. Amateur logo.
Some of the merchandise available for purchase will include hats, shirts, T-shirts, sweaters, jackets, artwork, lapel pins, golf balls, divot repair tools, ball markers, towels and more.

Acceptable forms of payment in the Merchandise Pavilion are: cash, traveler's checks, debit cards, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA. Personal checks are not accepted. An ATM will be available at the Merchandise Pavilion.

Parking
Parking information will be sent with tickets approximately 4-6 weeks in advance of the Championship. The information will also be posted on the Parking page when it is determined.

Phones
Cell phones, PDA or other portable e-mail devices are NOT permitted on the grounds.

Players
312 amateur players. The field has not yet been announced, and will not be available until sectional qualifying is completed the second week in August. Visit the Fact Sheet for more information.

Prohibited Items (subject to change)
The following items can not be brought into the championship:

  • Cell Phones, including any cell phones with photographic capabilities
  • PDAs and/or other Portable Email Devices
  • Noise Producing Electronic Devices
  • Cameras and/or Camcorders (other than Monday through Wednesday for personal photographic use only and without their cases)
  • Bags or backpacks larger than 8"W x 8"H x 8"D in its natural state
  • Cases and/or Covers (such as chair or umbrella covers). Umbrellas are permitted.
  • Signs, Posters and/or Banners
  • Televisions and/or Radios
  • Food and/or Beverage
  • Containers and/or Coolers
  • Pets (other than service animals)
  • Lawn and/or Folding Armchairs. Chairs without arms and golf stools are permitted.
  • Bicycles
  • Ladders
  • Metal-spiked Golf Shoes
  • Noisemaking Devices
  • Weapons (regardless of permit, including but not limited to firearms or knives)

Any other items deemed unlawful or dangerous by the USGA and/or Championship Security Personnel, in their sole discretion.
Parents with small children are allowed to bring strollers and diaper bags, if needed. These items are subject to reasonable inspection before entering and/or at any time during the Championship.

Rain Policy
If it rains on any day of the championship, play will continue as long as it is deemed safe to do so. Each day's ticket is valid only on the day it is printed for, therefore, a rain delay does not allow that day's ticket to be transferred or used on a different day of Championship play.
All Corporate Hospitality will be open every day regardless of weather.

The USGA and 2010 U.S. Amateur Championship staff will always keep spectators informed at the earliest possible moment of any changes made on this policy based upon situational circumstances.

Restrooms
There will be many locations around the golf course, as well as a map at the Championship entrance and signage indicating where public restrooms are located.

Schedule of Events
Practice Rounds will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Championship Rounds will begin on Thursday with the field cut at the conclusion of play on Friday. Visit the Schedule of Events page for more information.

Television
The U.S. Amateur will be broadcast nationally on NBC and The Golf Channel, broadcast times will be announced fall of 2009.

Tickets
Daily tickets to the Practice Rounds and Championship Rounds as well as week-long passes will be available beginning in the summer of 2009.
